Responsibilities
Specifically, the Bureau is responsible for:-
i. processing of all payments including salaries and allowances of both political office holders and the entire staff of the Office of the Governor;
ii. handling of personnel matters of all staff of the Office of the Governor;
iii. attending to all matters affecting political office holders;
iv. purchase and allocation of vehicles to political office holders and Senior Government functionaries (summary of vehicles is attached as Appendix I);
v. maintenance of the fleet of vehicles attached to the Governor, Deputy Governor, First Lady, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff and other vehicles allocated to Government House;
vi. arranging and facilitating Study/Familiarization tours of the State by officials of Federal Establishments and key National Institutions;
vii. ensuring successful annual celebrations of National Day, Armed Forces Remembrance Day etc.;
viii. supply of fuel (both Premium Motor Spirit –PMS) and Automobile Gas Oil (AGO) for the running of Government Vehicles and Generating Plant.
ix. allocation and maintenance of residential Quarters to political office holders (presently being handled by the Ministry of Housing);
7.2 STAFF STRENGTH: Total staff strength of civil servants and political functionaries in the Office of the Governor managed by the Bureau is 581.
