Administrative Head - Permanent Secretary
The Permanent Secretary oversees the activities of all the Departments and units under the Bureau. He reports to the Secretary of the State Government in respect of all the functions and responsibilities of the Bureau and units except on matters which, in line with the extant regulations, fall within the purview of the Civil Service Commission and the Bureau of Establishments and Training.

Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya was born 57 years ago to the family of Mr. Olatunde Oluwole Onasanya of Erunwon in Ijebu North-East Local Government area of Ogun State and Pastor Mrs. Modupe Adedotun Onasanya of Igbaga, Ijebu imushin in Ijebu East Local Government area of the State.
Kehinde's educational journey began at the ICC Primary School, Oke Bola Ibadan in 1972 and later completed his elementary education at United Primary School in Oke-Owa, Ijebu Ode in 1976. His Secondary education commenced in Ijebu-Ode Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode in 1977 where he obtained the West African School Certificate in 1982.
He later proceeded to Ogun State Polytechnic now known as Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta and the Federal School of Arts and Science, Suleija, Niger State where he completed his 'A' Level and HSC respectively with distinction.
Kehinde proceeded to the then Ogun State University, now known as Olabisi Onabanjo University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1991.
During his National Service, his dedication and excellence earned him the best Youth Corp member of the year at the Delta Steel Company, Ovwian Aladja Delta State where he served as in the Department of Manpower Planning and Development between September 1991 and September 1992.
Kehinde joined the Civil service of Ogun State as an information Officer in December, 1992 and worked in virtually all the unit and department of the then Ministry of Information : including Production Services, Research and Documentation, Public Enlightenment (Radio/ TV production). He also worked as a Senior Information Officer/attached to various MDAs including Health, Finance, Agriculture, Special Duties, Commerce and Industry and Office of the Governor.
In April 2011, he was posted to the Teaching Service Commission as a Director to strengthen the capacity of the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff and he was quite instrumental in bringing about qualitative service delivery as well as improved relationship between the Commission and the Unions including ASUSS, NUT and NASU.
While at the Commission, Kehinde was the Vice Chairman, Committee on Promotion for Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff, Member, Teachers' record verification Committee and he was also the Coordinating Director on the screening of would be Principals and Vice Principals for duty post.
He coordinated quite a number of training programmes for the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff among which is an ICT training held for teachers in conjunction with Microsoft and the Embassy of the United States of America. He also re- invented the Commission 's in-house journal known as' TESCOM Digest' and served as the editor between April 2011 and May, 2013.
Between June 2019 and September 2019, Kehinde was the Manager/Editor- in- chief of the State Publication popularly known as, ' OGUN UPDATE’.
A man of rich professional background and exposure, Kehinde had in the course of official engagements and pursuit of knowledge visited quite a number countries which include Germany, London, Canada, USA, China/ Hong Kong and participated actively in discussions and provided media coverage to Economic fora which had attracted meaningful investment opportunities to the State in the past including the Ogun Guandong FTZ among others.

In January 2017, Kehinde rose to the position of Director of Information, Grade level 17 having served meritoriously at the Ministry of information and Strategy and the Teaching Service Commission. In September, 2020, he was appointed as Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Civil Service by the State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON and posted to the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter - Governmental Affairs. In October, 2021, he was redeployed to the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, Office of the Governor and part of his schedule is to receive the monthly report from MDAs of Government both at the State and LG level, process the report and make recommendations to the higher quarter. He is also the administrative head in charge of Personnel matters of the Political Appointees as well as that of the Career officers in the Office of the Governor as well as the Offices and Bureau under it. His Office facilitates study/familiarisation tours of the State by Officials of Federal Establishments and Key National Institutions. He is also in charge of the Government transport pool and the Central Mechanical workshop. With proper supervision and keying into the maintenance culture policy of government, quite a number of abandoned vehicles hitherto regarded as 'scrap' have been turned around into a near pristine condition and deployed to MDAs thereby enhancing the operational effectiveness of government business .
Kehinde also has a post graduate diploma in Public Administration, (2017)and has attended quite a number of Administrative and Basic Communication Courses including Certificate of participation in the United Nations Development decentralised training programme on 'Project Monitoring and Evaluation in Nigeria as well as spring break communication documentary interaction (DKU) at the Duke University, North Carolina, USA.
Kehinde is researcher, administrator, Communication and Public Relations expert, He is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists where he served in a position of trust at different times as State Financial Secretary and Treasurer.
While serving on the Executive Council of NUJ, He contributed immensely to intellectual development of members with quite a number of training programmes organised for journalists while the Council also witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development which led to the construction of Iwe Iroyin auditorium and Guest House till today, remains sources of revenue for the Council. In February, 2024, he was appointed as a Member, Management Committee, Ogun NUJ support fund for deceased journalists family in the State.
Onasanya is also an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Onasanya is a recipient of the prestigious Ogun State Award in May, 2006 and first runners up the following year. He was also the best Reporter of the year 1999, courtesy Nigerian Union of Journalist, Ogun State Council.
Onasanya is happily married with two (2) children.
