STATUTORY FUNCTIONS

1. To undertake directly or through the assistance of the media, an effective publicity for Government public enlightenment programmes and activities.
2. To produce jingles, awareness and orientation messages, audio/visual programmes and wide ranging publicity materials for public enlightenment and documentary purposes.
3. To ensure the transmission of the Ministry’s audio/visual programmes produced by the department, for the purpose of enlightening the public on the various activities of the state government, on radio and television stations.
