VISION OF THE AGENCY
To develop a sustainable primary health care system which is equitable, affordable and qualitative through the participation of the Ogun State people in partnership with all levels of Government and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO’s).
MISSION OF THE AGENCY
To make preventive health care service delivery affordable, available and accessible down to the grass roots and to revitalize primary health care in Ogun State with a view to stimulating the people at the grassroots to see themselves as stakeholders in the dispensation of primary health care service in Ogun State.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
The Board consists of:
(a) a part-time Chairman;
(b) an Executive Secretary who is the Chief Accounting Officer of the Agency and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the Board in accordance with the provisions of the enabling law setting up the Agency. He heads the Board Secretariat and reports to the Chairman and the Board Members on periodic basis. He also reports to the Honourable Commissioner for Health;
(c) three other full-time members who shall have qualification and experience in human resources, financial management and administration;
(d) one representative of Ministry of Health not below the rank of a Director;
(e) three representatives of the Local Governments in the State, one from each of the three Senatorial Districts;
(f) one representative of private health providers in the State;
(g) one representative of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs; and
(h) one representative of the Alternative Medicine Prctioners.
As contained in its enabling law, the Board has 7 departments under the Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board under One Roof (PHCUOR), namely
