OGEPA TO HOLD WORKSHOP FOR MANUFACTURERS ON CHEMICAL HANDLING

Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) is organising a workshop for chemical users and manufacturers in the state on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Providence Event Centre, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, at 8.00am.

A release signed by the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ola Oresanya, indicated that the workshop would be declared open by the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun with the Ministers of Solid Mineral Resources, Mr. Dele Alake and that of Environment, Dr. Isiaq Salako, in attendance.

 It indicated that the workshop aims at raising awareness on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets, while proffering more knowledge and information on various imported chemicals, storage and utilisation, as well as synergy between chemical handlers and waste managers in the state, while enhancing responsible production, consumption of chemicals and sustainable waste management.
